He is a strategic, results-oriented leader with a strong focus on optimizing operations, advancing mineral resources, and embedding robust governance frameworks aligned with global best practices. Kelvin is recognized for driving performance through data integration, GIS-enabled decision-making, and structured, high-impact reporting systems.
His expertise spans a broad multi-commodity portfolio, including gold, lithium, copper, cobalt, lead, zinc, iron ore, coal, diamonds, platinum group metals (PGM’s), 3T’s (tin, tantalum, tungsten), uranium, limestone, heavy mineral sands, and gemstones. He brings deep technical credibility in mineral resource evaluation and public reporting, underpinned by consistent delivery of code-compliant technical disclosures.
Kelvin has a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary, multicultural teams and advancing projects across the full mining lifecycle - from greenfields exploration and target generation through resource definition, feasibility, and mine development. He is particularly passionate about building high-performance teams, mentoring emerging African geoscientists, and leveraging technology and data analytics to enhance exploration success and operational visibility.
Throughout his career, he has held senior roles with leading multinational organizations and consulting firms. He has contributed to major mineral discoveries, notably playing a key role in regional geological / geochemical programs that supported the discovery of the Kamoa-Kakula Copper Project in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Springfield Coal Project in Zambia.
As Chief Operating Officer of Romulus Mining, Kelvin leads the execution of exploration and operational strategies, strengthens technical reporting systems, and implements integrated governance frameworks. Working closely with the Board and executive leadership, he focuses on unlocking resource value, de-risking exploration investments, and positioning the company for sustainable growth within Nigeria’s emerging mining sector and across Africa.
